Will it work? Ropeman 1 with 8 mm Rope?? Also testing the Newdoar Amazon knockoff! #saddlehunting

Ropeman 1 rated 10mm-13mm, Newdoar ascender from Amazon rated 8mm-13mm, 2 Rock exotica Pirate carabiners with both a screw gate and autolock gate,  a standard black diamond carabiner, and some 8 mm rope. What holds and what slips might very well surprise you. These two ascenders look similar but in fact they are not. Who is interested in this review? I have personally been looking for these answers for a few years now. Never got the direct information I needed so I bought them and ran my own tests! Although the Kong Ducks work great, I like many others, are just not a fan of them over this style but I want the 8 mm rope. Can we have our cake and eat it too?
