#8–The Shining, Poltergeist, and Ghost Hunting Part 1

It’s the haunting month of October, so naturally we exorcise all the bad show demons and summon a frightfully good Show #8. Caretakers, Charlie and Paul, set up their studio in Room 237 and talk about Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 horror classic, The Shining. Then, we travel from our Colorado mountain hotel to the California suburbs to stack chairs, play with a steak, watch a crappy TV station, and take a dip in the skeleton-filled pool at the house used in the 1982 scary special effects thriller, Poltergeist. Finally, we reach beyond the vail and let spirits pick spooky and gruesome songs to become the latest additions to our Ultimate Mixtape. Like an axe in a door, we split the show by featuring a couple of deliciously gory beers. Chapters: The Shining starts at 2:39. Beer (WeldWerks Brewery and Berryessa Brewing) starts at 32:45. Poltergeist starts at 37:55. Charlie’s Ghost Hunting starts at 54:22. Ultimate Mixtape Picks start at 1:33:25. Closing starts at 2:01:35. The end is at the end. This show is dedicated to Shelley Duvall, caretakers, Heather O’Rourke, Dominique Duane, Zelda Rubinstein, horror film set real estate agents, and all those ghost hunters out there. #theshining #poltergeist #jacknicholson #redrum #stevenspielberg #ghosthunters #halloween #weldworksbrewery #berryessabrewery Thanks to Streamyard – Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/moire/night-driv... code: SJNPDDGKKTWN2ZHA – Music from Free ArchiveWax Lyricist - Consternation At The Disco – Video credit: The Eighties: NBC Retrospective – MTV Decade – Console Wars Documentary (2020) – Live Aid Against All Odds Documentary – Final Transition created by Imageborn – Thumbnail created by Dreamer – Extended versions of songs created by Wolf / @wolf-ng8ci Music: INXS, Kick 24, New Sensation Woman, John Lennon, Sweet Dreams, Eurythmics Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party (1985) Ministry - Every Day Is Halloween (1987) Echo & the Bunnymen - The Killing Moon (1984) Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (1985) The Cure - Lullaby (1989) Helloween - Halloween (1987) Slayer - Raining Blood (1987) Iron Maiden - Be Quick or Be Dead (1992) King Diamond - The Family Ghost (1987) Pantera - Cowboys from Hell (1990)
