I ride the Waskerley Way in County Durham on my Orbea Wild e-MTB, taking on one of the North East of England’s best traffic-free gravel cycling routes. This ride takes me along the historic Waskerley Way Railway Path, part of National Cycle Network Route 7 (NCN 7) and the famous C2C Coast to Coast cycle route. Following the route of the old Stanhope and Tyne Railway, the trail crosses beautiful County Durham countryside, with gravel tracks, open moorland and fantastic views across the North Pennines. 🚴 Ride stats: Distance: 39.15 km Elevation Gain: 529 m Moving Time: 1:46:23 Average Speed: 22.1 km/h The Orbea Wild e-bike is perfectly at home on this type of gravel and off-road cycling adventure, making this a brilliant route for anyone looking for e-bike rides in County Durham, gravel cycling routes, traffic-free cycle trails or inspiration for cycling in the North of England. If you enjoy e-bike adventures, cycle touring, gravel riding, mountain biking and exploring England by bike, subscribe for more rides around County Durham, Cumbria, North Yorkshire and beyond.
