Summer Evening Flying 1st Aug 2026

Great weather conditions returned so after the thermals died away, Tom and I decided to go for a little evening flying before the sun set. Crystal calm air made for some silky smooth flying. My younger brother Mark, took the opportunity to jump in with Tom for his first flight in a flexwing. Mark described the flight as pure intimate flying as you are fully immersed in the airflow and feel everything. Mark has thousands of flying hours under his belt in various jets and rotary wing aircraft. I would like to dedicate this video to Christopher Nigel Clegg, former owner, designer and engineer of Microlite Aviation and the builder of my wonderful 'Fly' Sub70 aircraft. He left us too early and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace old friend.
