One of the Greatest Stealth Games Ever Made Is Back | Metal Gear Solid 4

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is FINALLY free from the PS3! For nearly 20 years, MGS4 has been trapped on a single console. No PS4 version, no PS5 backwards compatibility, no PC release. Unless you still had a working PlayStation 3 sitting around, going back and experiencing one of the most important games in the Metal Gear series wasn't exactly easy. And this one is personal for me. I originally played Guns of the Patriots back in the day while I was in the military. This was one of those games my buddies and I would sit around playing together when I was deployed to Iraq, and I've got a ton of memories tied to it. Snake Eater will always be the GOAT for me, but MGS4 felt revolutionary when it released. It took so much of what I loved about Metal Gear and pushed it into what felt like a completely new generation. The modern third-person controls, weapon customization, OctoCamo, massive improvements to combat and movement, incredible cinematics, Raiden's transformation, and a story that brought together years of Metal Gear history made this game unforgettable. Now, after all these years, we finally have the new PC version, and I get to experience the entire thing again. Today we're starting from the beginning and seeing how Metal Gear Solid 4 holds up all these years later. Is Guns of the Patriots still one of the most underrated games in the entire Metal Gear series?
