BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) - Webinar

Did you know that Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) help use energy generated by solar panels even when the sun isn't shining? In fact, you could say it's a key part of renewable energy infrastructure. Discover how BESS fits into a clean, efficient, and affordable energy future for Indiana — and what's getting in the way. In this webinar, you'll hear from Rebecca TeKolste (HEC's Climate and Energy Director), Kayla Wright (Community Resilience Specialist at Purdue Extension), and Sean Coffington (Indiana Clean Energy Organizer at Greenlight America) and learn all about: 🔹How energy storage works and safety considerations 🔹How projects move through local approval processes 🔹How energy storage fits into Indiana's broader energy planning #bess #batteryenergystorage #hoosierenvironmentalcouncil #greenlightamerica #purdue #renewableenergy .
