God Gave You More Than Muscle | Spiritual Gifts for Christian Bodybuilders

You train your body with intention. But are you developing and using what God put inside you for the Body of Christ? Working through 1 Corinthians 12–14 and Ephesians, we unpack the gifts of the Spirit—including wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues and interpretation—and what it actually looks like to begin recognizing where God may already be working through you. But this conversation goes much deeper than identifying your gift. God deliberately placed different parts within the Body of Christ. That means your assignment was never to become somebody else. You don’t need another man’s gift. You don’t need another man’s platform. You don’t need another man’s position. You need to faithfully develop and use what God gave YOU. Just like a football team falls apart when everybody abandons his position, the Body suffers when Christian men spend their lives comparing themselves, isolating themselves, or refusing to function in the role God gave them. And there is another side to this: With every gift comes a challenge—because Satan does not want you functioning in it. De’Von explains why spiritual opposition can increase as a man begins walking faithfully in what God has called him to do, and why faith, brotherhood, discernment and dependence on the Holy Spirit matter so much.
