The Journey of Naaman's healing Naaman had to humble himself and obey Elisha's order in order to be healed. Obedience to God begins with humility. He had to admit that divine methods were better than his own. We may not always understand His ways, but by humbly obeying God, we will receive His blessings. We must remember that God's ways are the best; God desires our love-based obedience more than anything else; and by following him wholeheartedly, he wants to transform our pride into humility and our lives into sources of hope for others. Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride is followed by destruction; to arrogance, failure.” Pride is a sin that ruins friendships, damages relationships, and compromises our relationship with God.
