Our Journey started from Lahore, the city of gardens, historical places and much much more. We planned to travel Kumrat Valley by bus. AC coaches run from different terminals in city. We took bus for Dir. Cars and jeeps are available in Dir on per seat basis for Jahaz banda and Kumrat. Two routes are commonly used to reach Kumrat Valley. First from Dir the distance between Dir-Kumrat is about 92 KM while the other option is from Kalam, the distance is about 65 KM. Kalam to Kumrat route is beautiful and have to cross three lush green passes and jungles with tall trees along with the clear water river. When we travel from Dir, sheringal, lamoti and jandrai are very scenic and green. A lot of fresh water streams flow along the road. Jahaz Banda meadows, Jahaz banda waterfall and Kumrat Valley silent waterfall are heavenly beautiful places. Kumrat is a valley in the Upper Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Province of Pakistan. Kumrat Valley is located about 45 minutes away from the town of Thal. It is one of the scenic valleys and a picturesque spot for travelers. Tourists from different areas of the country visit to Kumrat valley and enjoy the greenery and cool weather and hospitality of the local people. Kumrat is covered with green pastures, snow clad mountains, the river Panjkora, foggy mounds and forests are attractions of the region, which serve as habitats for variety of flora and fauna.
