Water decisions in California's Central Valley get made in boardrooms, courtrooms, and Sacramento offices — and most growers don't hear about them until they're already being affected. Hosts Madalyn Vieira and Hunter Brown break down California water and agriculture news every week, from two sides that usually never sit at the same table: the regulatory and legal side, and the grower, operational, and financial side. Madalyn is a California licensed attorney, born and raised in Tulare County, with nearly a decade in the water space — from the Sites Reservoir Project out of Cal Poly, to lobbying in Sacramento, to founding VWS Law, where she serves as fractional in-house counsel to agricultural operations. Hunter has spent ten years farming permanent and row crops, holds an ag real estate license and a PCA license, and works in asset management helping farm managers and investors make better operational and financial decisions. Together they co-founded Valley Water Strategies LLC, helping growers and ag companies navigate California water regulation.
