In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Ozomatli's self titled debut album, Ozo is back in the studio to recreate the magic. One song at a time. One studio at a time. “Aqui No Será” is the second release in the series. Note from Raul Pacheco: Aquí No Será was a song I heard on a mix tape in college titled Chicano Power written by Enrique Ramirez. It contained not only Chicano anthem songs, but other songs from different regions about political struggle throughout the Americas. When Ozo first started we needed songs to play and I had learned this song on an acoustic. I presented it and the band said, "Let’s do it" and it became a song that made it on to our first record. For those who do not speak Spanish, the lyrics refer to the span of land from the Falkland Islands all the way to the San Francisco Mission district and its history of American intervention. The chorus simply says, It Will Not Be Here.
