Rookie mistakes on my new Little Rebel Quilting Machine

What's a Little Rebel? It's this new awesome mid-size machine that I got because I don't have space for a regular Long Arm for quilting. The LR is lightweight and I can tuck it away like my other machines in a closet when I'm not using it. I'm exclusively using it for quilting, even though it has a stitching function. Why? Because it's loud and a little too fast and wild. When I've got a few tops made, I want to set up the Little Rebel. But because I don't use it all the time, there's a learning curve I have to encounter everytime (at least for a while). Even if you’ve been sewing for years, a new machine requires a beginners mindset. I got so excited to start Quilting that I just ignored bad tension and didn’t stop to read the manual thoroughly. I ended up almost ruining a charity quilt that I’m going to have to explain later. It was the most obvious mistakes too! Watch this video and learn from my mistakes. A lot of people make videos when they've got everything sorted out, and then when you try, you run into trouble that's not on their video. Watch my doofus moves so you don't have to! LOL. I’m excited to make my second quilt and take what I’ve learned from this to get great tension and more control using the foot pedal, the extension table and with proper threading.
