Lars Linkerifot (Brass Band) - Kjetil Djønne

The melody has been documented in Hedmark, both as a vocal tune and as an instrumental dance tune. This version was written for Tertnes Brass for Siddis Brass 2023 and is a free adaptation of the folk tune, using the original melody as the basis for newly composed material. The piece includes changing time signatures such as 9/8 and 10/8. A quieter middle section features a flugelhorn solo, with prominent parts for marimba and vibraphone, before material from the opening returns towards the end.
