Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial is likely to end this month if the defense panel completes its presentation of the case within ten full trial days, according to lead House prosecutor and Batangas 2nd District Rep. Gerville Luistro.The lawmaker confirmed that the prosecution expects the defense to request a 10-day trial to present evidence on the remaining impeachment article, the allegation of unexplained wealth against Duterte.Three of the four original articles of impeachment were withdrawn by the prosecution, including grave threats, alleged misuse of confidential funds and bribery of the Department of Education.According to Luistro, the defense had already requested 30 full trial days for the four impeachment articles so it is estimated that it may only need 10 days for the remaining articles.However, the lawmaker explained that the trial could still extend until December if the defense team needs a longer time.
