Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD)-supported students locked the main college gate and staged a protest, opposing the presence of people who were allegedly not students. According to the report, a BCJD-backed vice-president candidate had arrived to withdraw her nomination, accompanied by four to five alleged outsiders. Jaleswar police and the tehsildar reached the spot and spoke with the protesting students. The situation calmed after the student clarified that she had withdrawn her nomination voluntarily and the administration assured action over the alleged unauthorised entry.
