Courage WASN'T the Coward.

They called him a coward. Meanwhile, Courage was the only one doing anything about the monsters. Rewatching Courage the Cowardly Dog as an adult, I kept coming back to one thing: this dog is absolutely terrified, and he still shows up for his family. Eustace isn’t helping. Fred needs to stay several zip codes away. And somehow Courage is the one getting judged. From King Ramses and Freaky Fred to “The Mask,” we’re revisiting the scares, the ridiculous moments, and the surprisingly heartfelt reasons this little pink dog deserved better.
