Stop The Boasts - council split on small boats extraordinary meeting

September 23rd Portsmouth City Council, in an extraordinary full council meeting called by Portsmouth's Reform group heard their motion about the events September 6th where over a hundred rescued people were landed at Eastney jetty. In a raucous meeting, at times more reflective of a football match than council chamber, rhetoric and hyperbole were in limitless supply. What was the motion calling for? Who made deputations to the council for or against the motion? What issues were raised by councillors? What was the result of the vote? Listen as we take you through the meeting, the deputations, amendments and debate from opening remarks to summing up and the vote. Agenda on PCC's calendar (https://democracy.portsmouth.gov.uk/i...)
