守られるだけだった少年が、父の夢を継ぐと決めた瞬間の歌。 原曲は『機動戦士ガンダムUC オリジナル・サウンドトラック4』収録の「5thMob. :UXO-→RX0 (SYMPHONIC-MOBILE SUITE[UC])」（作曲：澤野弘之）。「SELF-SACRIFICE」と「RX-0」の2曲をひとつにつないだ組曲です。TV版『機動戦士ガンダムUC RE:0096』第21話「この世の果てへ」では、ガエル・チャンがバナージに父の夢を語る場面から、バナージがユニコーンを呼ぶ場面まで流れました。ユニコーンガンダム、バナージ、ガエルはスーパーロボット大戦シリーズにも参戦していますが、この曲は原作の場面曲として選びました。 バナージ・リンクスは、ビスト財団のカーディアス・ビストの息子です。ガエル・チャンは元連邦軍人で、カーディアスの腹心でありボディガードでした。カーディアスの死後、ガエルはサイアム・ビストに仕え、最終決戦ではシルヴァ・バレトに乗ってネオ・ジオングに立ち向かいます。フル・フロンタルの攻撃で吹き飛ばされたバナージを受け止め、機体を削られながらも退かない。バナージが下がってくれと頼んでも、ガエルはカーディアスが見ていた「箱が開かれた先の未来」を信じて前に立ち続けました。機体が倒れ、とどめを刺されそうになったとき、ガエルはバナージに迷わないよう言葉を残し、バナージはユニコーンを呼びます。父の夢は、守ってくれた人を通して、息子の意志に変わりました。 今回は「自己犠牲」から「RX-0」へつながる原曲の流れをそのまま物語にして、壮大なオーケストラと合唱で歌い上げるアレンジにしました。Aメロはピアノと低い弦だけで静かに始まり、Bメロで刻む弦と太鼓が緊張を高め、サビで重いドラム、合唱、低音シンセが一気に入ります。ブリッジの直前で一度ほぼ無音まで落とし、ユニコーンを呼ぶ場面から合唱が立ち上がり、最後のサビは半音上げて締めくくります。サビ1行目は毎回同じ「UX0から RX0へ」、続く2行が「盾になれる背中」→「明日映す瞳」→「父の夢を継ぐ息子」と進んでいきます。同じバナージを歌った『RX-0』のアレンジと合わせて聴いてみてください。 ───────────── 🌐English A song for the moment a boy who could only be protected decides to carry on his father's dream. The original track is "5thMob. :UXO-→RX0 (SYMPHONIC-MOBILE SUITE[UC])" from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Original Soundtrack 4, composed by Hiroyuki Sawano. It is a suite that joins two pieces, "SELF-SACRIFICE" and "RX-0." In episode 21 of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096, "To the End of the World," it plays from the scene where Gael Chan tells Banagher about his father's dream until Banagher calls the Unicorn. The Unicorn Gundam, Banagher, and Gael all appear in the Super Robot Wars series, but this track was chosen as a scene piece from the original anime. Banagher Links is the son of Cardeas Vist of the Vist Foundation. Gael Chan is a former Federation soldier who served as Cardeas's right-hand man and bodyguard. After Cardeas's death, Gael serves Syam Vist, and in the final battle he pilots the Silver Bullet against the Neo Zeong. He catches Banagher after Full Frontal's attack blows him away, and even as his machine is torn apart, he does not retreat. When Banagher begs him to pull back, Gael keeps standing in front, believing in the future Cardeas dreamed of, the world after the Box is opened. When his machine falls and is about to be finished off, Gael tells Banagher not to waver, and Banagher calls the Unicorn. His father's dream, passed on through the man who protected him, becomes the son's own will. This arrangement turns the original's flow, from "self-sacrifice" into "RX-0," into a story sung with a grand orchestra and choir. The verses open quietly with piano and low strings, the pre-chorus builds tension with pulsing strings and drums, and the chorus brings in heavy drums, choir, and deep synth bass all at once. Just before the bridge, the music drops almost to silence, the choir rises as Banagher calls the Unicorn, and the final chorus goes up a half step. The first line of every chorus stays the same, "From UX0 to RX0," while the next two lines move forward each time: "a back that can become a shield," "eyes that reflect tomorrow," and finally "a son who carries on his father's dream."
