Ashab-e-Kahf full story: the People of the Cave who slept 309 years, according to the Quran. How does it differ from the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus? Watch the complete story here. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you fell asleep and woke up 300 years later? In this video, we walk through the Ashab-e-Kahf story from start to finish in light of Surah Al-Kahf (18:9-26): the reign of Emperor Decius, the young men's stand for Tawheed, their prayer at the cave, the loyal dog guarding the entrance, the 309-year sleep, and the old silver coin that revealed their secret. We also compare the Quranic account with the Christian legend of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus, and look at why the Quran says 300 years and then adds 9 (solar vs lunar years).
