USYC DAY ONE

Better late than never. Here is the usyc day 1 vlog. Day 1 of the U.S. Embassy Youth Council (USYC) 2026 Residential Orientation was filled with new faces, meaningful conversations, learning, networking, and so much excitement. From meeting my fellow council members and USYC alumni to sessions on emotional intelligence, communication, leadership, and networking, the first day gave me a lot to reflect on; not just as a medical doctor, but as someone who hopes to grow as a leader and create meaningful impact through women’s health advocacy and public health. One of my biggest reasons for joining USYC is to learn beyond medicine is to understand people from completely different fields, broaden my perspective, become a better communicator, and learn how meaningful ideas can eventually turn into impact. And honestly, one of the best parts was simply getting to know this incredible cohort. ❤️ This vlog is a little glimpse into Day 1 that is meeting the cohort, learning together, conversations in between sessions, lots of laughter, and the beginning of what I hope will be a very special journey. So grateful to be one of the 55 members of the USYC 2026 cohort, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us. 🌱 See you in Day 2! ✨
