For refugee girls and young women in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, access to education, employment, and income-generating opportunities can be limited. Through the CRS Girls’ Empowerment Programme, we provide practical vocational training in hairdressing and cosmetology, equipping girls and young women with skills they can use to create their own opportunities. The training helps participants to: • Develop practical and marketable vocational skills • Build confidence and independence • Start small businesses or find opportunities to earn an income • Support themselves and contribute to their families • Reduce dependence on humanitarian assistance • Build a foundation for a more secure and self-reliant future At CRS, we believe that empowering a girl with a practical skill can change not only her life, but also the future of her family and community.
