Bromination of Acetone Experiment

In this video you will see four trials in an experiment where acetone reacts with bromine in the presence of an acid catalyst. By recording the time needed for the orange bromine to be consumed completely in each trial, you can calculate the rate of reaction in each trial and then determine the differential rate law for the reaction including the rate constant at room temperature.
