When she was a child, Kassandra, the Spartan granddaughter of King Leonidas, was thrown off a mountain by her father and lost her family. Fleeing to Kephallonia and growing up to be a mercenary, Kassandra believed she’d never see her family again…until a mysterious man hires her to assassinate her own father. With this contract, Kassandra begins an epic odyssey across the Greek world during the Peloponnesian War that will force her to make choices that will not only affect her and her loved ones but also the fate of humanity.
