Euronymphing With a Tenkara Rod in Winter

This was a challenging morning of fishing! This freestone river was almost completely frozen over in most places. Sucker spawn egg flies were the name of the game, as is often the case in winter. I used my 12 foot tenkara rod and euro/tightline tactics to come up with a couple sluggish fish by the end. It was a beautiful and enjoyable morning though, and all the ice was really quite beautiful.
