This is a slightly edited chapter from the "Go With The Flow" Thurston County documentary. I added The Rickets and Wally Cox and a bit of journalism and laughter to punctuate certain statements. What Slim says about bands not being signed from Olympia was interesting. When Vern talked about how bands feared what might happen if they took the step to "sign" it was also eye opening. Especially in the shadow of two gate keepers. Vern was a kind soul and loved Punk In My Vitamins and Red Rumsey till the day he died. Rest In Peace pal.
