[Intro — Pipe Organ, Distant Resonance]
In the silence beneath the vaulted stone,
The ancient Word spoke without a tone.
No voice was born, no witness stood,
Yet Being knew itself as good.
[Verse 1 — The Priest]
“In the beginning was the Word,
The light through which all things were heard.
The Word was God, and God was One,
Before the stars, before the sun.
I AM THAT I AM, the timeless flame,
No other power can speak His name.
In self-illumination, all things begin,
The knowing and the known within.”
[Verse 2 — William and Linus]
William heard the words with wonder,
Like distant thunder split asunder.
“Gabriel taught us this before—
The truth behind the temple door.”
Linus raised the mirror high,
“Threefold light beneath one sky:
The Father shines, the Logos sees,
The Spirit flows through all that is.”
[Pre-Chorus — Sparse Piano and Cello]
But Kenneth whispered, soft and slow,
“There is no second thing to know.
No distant God, no separate seer—
Only the mirror, crystal clear.”
[Chorus 1 — Restrained Voices, Expanding Strings]
Only the mirror exists,
While shadows rise and fall.
No reflection stands alone,
No boundary divides the All.
The light, the glass, the joy within,
One ocean without shore.
What we sought beyond the world
Was what we were before.
[Verse 3 — Frederic and the Quantum Sea]
“Six hundred thirteen terahertz—
A violet pulse where matter stirs.
The brain constructs a watching face,
A simulated self in time and space.
Through trembling fields and quantum light,
It maps the day, it dreams the night.
Yet how can a reflection see
The boundless source of clarity?”
The vacuum breathed beneath the known,
No absolute void, no world alone.
Entangled depths, potential wide,
Where nothing stands completely outside.
[Bridge — Post-Rock Crescendo]
No final darkness. No empty throne.
No isolated soul alone.
The universe unfolds its art,
As waves arise within the heart.
But knowing how the stars are spun
Does not reveal why we are one.
The mind can trace the endless sea—
Yet knowledge cannot set us free.
[Chorus 2 — Full Cinematic Crescendo]
Only the mirror exists,
While shadows rise and fall.
No reflection stands alone,
No boundary divides the All.
The light, the glass, the joy within,
One ocean without shore.
But knowing how the worlds arise
Cannot tell us what they're for.
[Verse 4 — The Priest’s Refusal]
The Priest stood firm beneath the flame,
“By faith we walk, not sight, the same.
No human scheme shall guide the soul;
God’s holy Word shall make us whole.”
William reached his hand across the aisle,
But faith stood guarded, cold and still.
Some remained beneath the stone;
The four departed, bound for home.
[Outro — Acoustic Guitar, Solo Cello]
Northward beneath the frozen sky,
Four seekers walked with questions high.
They knew the how, the fields, the light—
But why must darkness meet the bright?
The mirror gleamed; the road stretched on.
The answer waited beyond the dawn.
Not in the theory, not in the word—
But in the life that must be lived.
The glass grows still.
The footsteps fade.
The trial awaits.
The choice remains.
