FIRST VISIT: Copa Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 departs Montreal (YUL/CYUL)

With a not so spotter friendly arrival time (00:00), I decided to skip the first landing and get their more friendly departure... Always nice to catch Copa! Nice to see another new 737 max operator here... Copa Airlines is the flag carrier of Panama with an extensive route network throughout the Americas. Copa only operates 1 aircraft type; the Boeing 737. The airline specialized in connecting passengers from North-South America (and other way around) through its Panama City hub. Copa started Montreal service back in 2014 connecting the city to Panama for the first time. This is the first time Copa has flown their new 737 MAX 9 to Montreal marking them the 2nd 737 MAX 9 operator here after Aeromexico. Copa has 29 737 MAX 9; they operate the MAX in 2 different configurations; this one has 16 business class seats (with lie flat beds), and 150 economy seats for a total of 166 seats.
