📦 Furniture Store Management System | Testing the Inventory Service with Node.js 🚀
Welcome to the next video in our Furniture Store Management System project series! 💻
In this video, we'll test the Inventory Service Layer using a JavaScript test script inside the "scripts" folder.
After building the Inventory Repository and Inventory Service, it's time to verify that our inventory operations work correctly with the Native SQLite database before integrating them into the frontend.
🧪 In This Video
📁 Understand the purpose of the "scripts" folder
⚙️ Create a script to test the Inventory Service
📊 Retrieve inventory movements
🪑 Check product stock information
📉 Retrieve low-stock products
🔄 Test inventory movement operations
➕ Test stock increases and adjustments where supported
⚠️ Verify validation and error handling
🗄️ Check how the service interacts with the SQLite database
✅ Run the script and inspect the results in the terminal
🏗️ Understanding the Architecture
We'll test the following flow:
Test Script → Inventory Service → Inventory Repository → SQLite Database
The Inventory Service handles business logic, while the Inventory Repository communicates directly with the database. Testing these layers helps us identify errors early and build a more reliable application.
