Vikram's ordeal began in January when he noticed swelling on the right side of his face. Despite attempting home remedies, the swelling persisted, prompting him to seek medical advice. He consulted with a local head and neck cancer surgeon who performed a fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) test. The FNAC results revealed an infection in his parotid gland, which required surgical intervention. However, Vikram was initially hesitant to undergo the operation. As time passed, Vikram's condition worsened, and he decided to search for the best head and neck cancer surgeon. This quest led him to the name of Dr. Amit Chakraborty, who was renowned and ranked among the top 10 surgeons in the field. Vikram then traveled to Mumbai and sought consultation with Dr. Amit Chakraborty. Although Vikram was diagnosed in January, he had postponed treatment until he met us in July.
