Jeremy Kyle has reacted furiously to a Home Office guide explaining Britain’s sexual consent laws to asylum seekers. The reported booklet states that both people must freely agree to sexual contact and that someone who is asleep, intoxicated or unable to respond cannot consent. Former immigration minister Kevin Foster questioned whether handing out the guidance would change anyone’s behaviour and described elements of it as “deeply concerning”.  He also admitted the previous Conservative government should have gone further on the ECHR, saying: “Should we have gone further? Absolutely.” Former Labour MP Simon Danczuk later claimed the document was an “admission” by the Government, while Jeremy argued it exposed serious failures in Britain’s asylum system.
