Silent Hill 4 : The Room est, sans hésiter, l'un des épisodes les plus intéressants de la franchise. Mais s'il fascine autant, c'est autant pour ce qu'il est que ce qu'il aurait pu être. Jeu plein d'ambition, se rêvant premier volet du "nouvel chapitre" de la franchise, le dernier titre de la "Team Silent" a au final terriblement divisé. Avec son appartement iconique et ses fantômes impitoyables, il reste malgré tout un jeu unique même s'il n'a jamais eu l'aura de la première trilogie.
