Did Family Guy Get Worse, or Did You Just Grow Up?

Every time someone says Family Guy got worse, the same argument comes up. You just grew up. So I watched old Family Guy and modern Family Guy back to back, and the real difference was not the cutaways, politics, or offensive jokes. The characters slowly stopped feeling like people and started feeling like impressions of themselves. This is what actually changed, and why modern Family Guy feels so much more repetitive even when the writers can still prove they know how to make it work.
