Description:
Marriage in Islam is a sacred bond built on faith, dignity, responsibility and mutual rights.
But did you know that certain forms of marriage are prohibited in Islam?
In this video, we explore 6 types of prohibited marriages in the light of the Holy Quran and authentic Hadith:
1. Nikah Mut'ah – Temporary marriage.
2. Nikah Shighar – Exchange marriage prohibited by the Prophet ﷺ.
3. Nikah Tahleel (Halala) – A pre-arranged marriage intended to make a divorced woman lawful again for her former husband.
4. Marriage During Iddah – Contracting a marriage before the prescribed waiting period ends.
5. Marrying an Already Married Woman – A woman who is already in a valid marriage cannot be married by another man.
6. Marriage Within Prohibited Relationships – Relationships forbidden for marriage through blood ties, breastfeeding and marriage ties.
