Koalib has so rich culture with so many dances. They include kɔɽe. ṯerveze of different types, kiɽeŋ, kamakoyoko and others. The Marḏu dance was actually copy of Koalib ṯerveze dance by the Bagara Arab migrants. if you want to know the truth trace the roots of Arab culture, you will never find any Arabs dancing Marḏu in any country apart from in Sudan a clear indication that ṯerveze was copied and developed to Marḏu by the Bagara Arab tribes who have dwelled and have become part of the Sudanese society. So it is better to develop the original dance ( ṯerveze) other than losing the originality and embracing a photo copy( Marḏu). In this video you will learn some of the different Koalib dances. Just make sure you learn it as Koalib and pass it to your next generation. Just remember that a language is a vehicle through which, cultures, traditions and peoples heritage is passed on from one generation to another. If you deny your children your own heritage, then you have committed the biggest crime in the history of humanity. Our cultures were passed own to generations over millions of yours, who are we to just loose it like that? let us not be traitors to our own generational heritage! it is a painful truth that we must first accept then we will change and adjust. let us teach our children our own cultures, that will reflect on their identity as Nuba/Koalib and real Sudanese or else we will just remain traitors to our heritage ow and for ever.
