Follow our preparation for our quite impromptu Mt. Whitney hike! My friend gave me an unused permit 10 days before the hike, then I was able to get Avery a permit 6 days before the hike! Flew into CA the day before the hike and scrambled to get supplies and try to acclimate to the elevation.
