#FandomDecks: Layering culture with our readings.

Fandom decks have spiked in popularity, but what do they bring to the reading experience? Explore this topic with me and make your own response. Prompts for this tag: Rules: 1. Fandom decks should be specific to an artist with a defined oeuvre or specific creative work, not a general theme. For example, the output of a writer or painter, or a deck based on a specific TV show or musical artist. Avoid general themed decks (like Cat Tarot, Vampire Tarot, Literary Tarot) and choose specific artists or works instead (Cats the Musical Tarot, Bram Stoker's Dracula Tarot, Emily Dickinson Oracle). 2. Fandom decks are by definition composed of or inspired by material NOT made for the purpose of being a deck! They are made of either pre-existing images OR fan art based on pre-existing writing, music, film, etc. So for example the Dali Tarot would not work, because Salvador Dali himself designed the cards, but a deck based on Frida Kahlo's art does fit the prompt, because she never intended her paintings to be used as a pack of tarot or oracle cards - any deck made with her art is therefore a fandom deck. How do you use this deck: what questions, concerns, types of readings, or techniques do you use it for? What makes it a good reader?
