"The American Bittern: Another Secretive Wetland Hunter"

Wild Journey Films continues its coverage of secretive wetland birds by following American Bitterns into habitats that hide them from the world. Courtship, hunting and nesting behaviors all take place, generally, under cover. Even though they disappear extremely well, their distinct booming and gulping courtship calls resonate throughout the wetlands. So, keep your eyes open for this stealthy, camouflaged, quiet hunter as it moves through the vegetation stalking fish, frogs, and insects.
