This week, we’re making some lovely progress at our nearly 200-year-old Grade II* listed London home, with one of the biggest transformations to our garden so far. After months of planning, our mature pleached trees have finally arrived, and we're getting them planted around the garden. It's something we've been looking forward to for such a long time, and it's incredible to see how much they've changed the space already. We're hoping they'll provide some much-needed privacy while helping us create the traditional English courtyard garden we've been imagining. Inside the house, we're also continuing with the decorating, turning our attention to painting the windows and shutters in the sitting room and guest bedroom. It's another step towards bringing the rooms together, and we're finally starting to see how much difference these smaller details make. There's still plenty to do, both inside and out, but with the trees planted and more decorating underway, it really feels as though the house is starting to come together. If you love period homes, British interiors, traditional decorating, antiques, gardening and following the reality of restoring a historic home, I’d love for you to subscribe and follow along.
