The Haunted Mask (1993) by R.L. Stine | Goosebumps | That Mask Was PERSONAL 💀 | Book Chat

🎃📚 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐤 (𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟑) 𝐛𝐲 𝐑.𝐋. 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 It’s time to head back to Goosebumps… and honestly, some childhood fears have aged VERY well 😭🎃 We’re diving into The Haunted Mask for our Goosebumps Book Club, joined by Kasha, Amy McCaw and Cameron Chaney and this one brings all the nostalgic creepy-crawlies we remember. Because what starts as a girl wanting revenge turns into a VERY uncomfortable situation involving a mask that really does not want to come off 💀 We’re talking childhood nostalgia, questionable decisions, creepy transformations and the moment when you realise that maybe this mask is a little more than a Halloween costume… ⚠️ Spoilers for The Haunted Mask ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📖 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 So… Carly Beth is tired of being scared. Tired of being picked on. Tired of everyone making her feel like the easiest person in the world to frighten. And she decides it’s time to get even. 😈 Enter the mask. It’s grotesque, creepy and exactly the sort of thing you’d expect to find in a shop that should probably be investigated by several authorities. Carly Beth puts it on to become someone, or something different. But then things get REALLY weird. The mask starts taking over. Getting it off becomes a problem. And suddenly her plan to scare everyone else turns into something much more terrifying 💀 We’re revisiting the creepy imagery, the revenge, the transformation and that classic Goosebumps feeling of thinking you know where a story is going… only for it to get even stranger. Because apparently, sometimes the scariest thing isn’t what you put on your face. It’s what happens when you can’t take it off. 😭🎃 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎬 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 00:00 Introductions & Goosebumps Nostalgia 10:06 Carly Beth, Bullying & Revenge 22:37 The Costume Shop & That Creepy Mask 👀 35:11 The Mask, Possession & Things Get DARK 💀 51:00 Friendship, Family & The Power of Love 01:07:21 Final Thoughts, Ratings & What We’re Reading Next ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌟 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐆𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐒 Huge thanks to Kasha, Amy McCaw and Cameron Chaney for joining us to revisit this Goosebumps classic! 🎃📚 Find our guests here: 📚 Kasha - ‪@horror-sickness‬ 📚 Amy McCaw - ‪@AmyMcCaw‬ 📚 Cameron Chaney ‪@LibraryMacabre‬ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔁 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐁𝐔𝐌𝐏𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐒 👉 Full archive:     • All Tales Point Horror Book Club Chats   ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📚 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 Do you remember the Point Horror books from the 90s?
