STORE UP HEAVENLY TREASURE | Catholic Morning Prayer | October 19, 2026 Begin your Monday, October 19, 2026, with this Catholic Morning Prayer from Sacred Echoes of Grace, inspired by the Gospel of Luke 12:13–21 and the words of Jesus: “Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God.” In today’s prayer, we are invited to examine what truly occupies our hearts. Work, possessions, savings, and plans for the future all have their proper place, but they cannot replace our relationship with God. True richness is found in faith, gratitude, generosity, forgiveness, and love expressed through the way we live. As we offer this new day to the Lord, let us surrender our ambitions and anxieties, ask for wisdom in our responsibilities, and seek to use the blessings entrusted to us for the good of others. May we learn to work diligently without becoming enslaved to success, prepare wisely without placing our trust in material security, and recognize the eternal value of a heart devoted to God. Today we also commemorate Saints Jean de Brébeuf, Isaac Jogues, and their companions, Martyrs. Their courageous witness reminds us of the enduring value of fidelity to Christ, even in times of hardship and sacrifice. Throughout October, we honor the Most Holy Rosary, asking the Blessed Virgin Mary to guide us closer to Jesus and help us trust in God's will. We remember our families, those seeking employment, those struggling to provide for their loved ones, and everyone who has entrusted a prayer intention to this community.
