Fantasie Impromptu e molto appassionato feels like a proper title.
It possibly got a bit too passionate, and not always super clear (and I slipped right in the end), but I kind of like it.
I added some octaves here and there; it's something that's usually done in older recordings, and I really think they add something to the piece.
This impromptu is a very youthful work, and was composed when Chopin was in his early 20s.
Apparently, he might have been quite disappointed with the piece, as he never published it and even left a note asking for it to never be published. There are some theories as to why. One is, as I mentioned, that he just didn't like it. Another one is that one of the passages is very similar (or even exactly the same?) as a passage in the third movement of the moonlight sonata, and thus not being original enough. And another one is that it was a commissioned work, and therefore not up to him to get published.
Whatever the reason, it's now, ironically, one of Chopin's most popular pieces.
