Today's recording project is "Vers la vie nouvelle" by Nadia Boulanger. Written in the middle (1916) of World War One, though only published in 1918, this piece is a short but intense journey from wartime despair to hope, then peace, and finally bliss. At least those are the four phases as I feel them.
