Narrowboats at Goytre Wharf, Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal

Thursday 11th July 2024: After seeing the enormous Gloucester & Sharpness Canal last week, I thought I'd visit something smaller this time - so on Tuesday I drove over to Goytre Wharf on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal. The weather hasn't been great but I managed to catch some hire-boaters enjoying their holiday and got lots of snaps with my Nikon SLR camera. As usual, I talk a load of gibberish along the way, and encounter someone with an interesting (if controversial) opinion on why the weather is so awful lately... Lovely lunch in the cafe at the Wharf later - I highly recommend it! Car parking for £2 all day – Goytre Wharf is a great place for a walk on any day - whatever the weather! Hope you enjoy it!
