Aguner Poroshmoni | আগুনের পরশমণি | Rabindra Sangeet | Jaya Nag

“Aguner Poroshmoni” is one of those timeless creations of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore that carries purity, strength and spiritual light. In this rendition, I have tried to offer my voice with utmost sincerity and emotion — not as an artist, but as a person searching for solace through music. This song is also a deeply personal tribute… My Jethu has been an integral part of my life — from childhood to adolescence. Though I called him Jethu, he always held the place of a father in my heart. On November 25th, he left us silently… but his philosophy, his guidance, and his love will remain with me forever. During this time of sorrow, Rabindranath — my Gurudev — once again showed me the path from grief towards light. Rabindra Sangeet was one of Jethu’s favourites. He was a true workaholic, dedicated to his responsibilities, and so I chose to remember him not only with tears, but with the work and music he loved. I don’t claim to be an artist. I only tried to sing this eternal, familiar song from my heart — as a humble offering to his memory.
