Lecture at a glance This lecture teaches lay ministers to read Poetry and Wisdom Literature the way God gave them, so that what they teach is what God actually said. Lesson aim: To help new ministers handle the Psalms, Proverbs, Job, and Ecclesiastes with care, so they do not turn poetry into rules or proverbs into promises. Key idea: God gave us pictures to move the heart and proverbs to train the life. Each must be read the way it was written.
