MONTESSORI AT HOME: Toddler Bedtime Routine at 14 Months

Thiago is at the age where he wants to mimic everything he sees. He is also learning things at lightning speed- what Maria Montessori called the "Absorbent Mind". This is why every part of our daily (and nightly) routine has had to be modeled and has required a lot of guidance (and redirecting at times). At this point, Thiago is very familiar with our daily routines and has become comfortable doing several parts of it on his own. Montessori for us means allowing Thiago to do as much as he feels ready to do on his own with as little help as possible but as much as absolutely necessary.
