Inside Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies | Facility Tour with Katie Bates

We toured Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies, also known as GRRR, at Phoebe’s Place in Arvada, Colorado, and it quickly became one of the happiest rescue environments we’ve experienced. Katie Bates, the Executive Director, walked us through the facility and shared more about the work GRRR is doing to help Golden Retrievers find the right homes, the right support, and a second chance. Kris conducted the tour, Mercedes was behind the camera, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share this story through Bound By Dogs. At Bound By Dogs, our mission is to raise awareness for shelter and unwanted dogs while helping prevent dogs from being surrendered in the first place. Through rescue tours, education, structure, training, and real-life examples, we want to show what’s possible when people do not give up on their dogs too soon. A sincere thank you to our Partner "Trucks for Pups" for their financial support. Their contribution helps us continue showing up for shelters, rescues, and the dogs who need them.
