Brian May and Andy Summers on Breakfast Time (17/7/1985)

Brian May of Queen and Andy Summers of The Police are the celebrity guests chatting to Frank Bough on the Beeb's early morning show Breakfast time. The main discussion we get here is about sunglasses with ophthalmic expert Janet Silver, and knowing now about Brian's keen 3D photography and astronomy interests, it's not surprising that he also has strong opinions on the subject of healthy eyes. (I actually remember the mid-80s scare about cheap shades made for kids being found to have absolutely no ultra-violet protection at all - this must be when it was all coming to a head.) I could probably pinpoint the exact broadcast date thanks to the news stories, but over to you in the comments for that. Frank does say that Live Aid was "last Saturday", so that puts us in the latter half of July 1985, at least. [EDIT: Wednesday 17th, according to @JasonC1782 in the comments - many thanks.] Other segments include Nick Ross hosting a phone-in about foreign currency with Alison Mitchell, and talk of Brian's home-made guitar.
