I am incredibly proud to introduce my new album, *SWALSA* — a 12-track journey born from my love for *Swahili music, salsa, rhythm, culture and the beautiful spirit of the Kenyan Coast.* The name *SWALSA* comes from two worlds coming together: *SWAHILI + SALSA = SWALSA.* 🎶🔥 But for me, it is more than just a combination of two words. It is a combination of **two musical spirits**. It is the warmth of Swahili melodies meeting the movement of salsa. It is the poetry of the Swahili language dancing with Latin rhythm. It is African soul meeting a global sound. And at the heart of it all is *Mombasa.* ❤️🌴🌊 I was born and raised in **Mombasa, Kenya**, in the historic area of **Kibokoni, within the Fort Jesus area**. These are the streets, sounds, people, stories and memories that helped shape who I am. The Coast has always had its own rhythm. You hear it in the language. You feel it in the drums. You find it in the melodies. You see it in the way people celebrate life. *SWALSA is my way of carrying that spirit forward.* This album contains **12 songs, all performed in Swahili**, bringing together beautiful Swahili melodies and the infectious energy of salsa. Every song is part of the journey. Every rhythm carries a feeling. Every melody carries a little piece of home. I have made music before, and I have shared different chapters of my musical journey with you, but *SWALSA represents something very personal to me.* It is a reflection of my roots, my musical influences, my imagination and my love for the beautiful language of **Kiswahili**. I want people from Mombasa to hear something familiar. I want people from Kenya to feel something they can call their own. I want Swahili-speaking listeners across East Africa and around the world to connect with it. And I want someone who has never heard Swahili salsa before to press play and say: *“Wow… what is this sound?”* ❤️🎶 That is the beauty of music. It can travel further than we can. It can cross borders. It can bring cultures together. And it can take a little piece of where you come from and introduce it to the world. 🌍 *SWALSA is my little piece of Mombasa for the world.* It is my celebration of *Swahili culture, coastal life, rhythm, love, happiness and music.* It is my invitation to you: **Come listen.
