[SBS Transit] Service 129 Direction 1 (Volvo B9TL)

Bus Service 129 is a trunk service from Tampines Concourse to Saint Michael’s. Apart from benefitting residents in the Tampines, Bartley, Toa Payoh and Whampoa estates, Service 129 opens up a new corridor between Tampines and Toa Payoh / Bishan with a semi-express sector along the Bartley Road / Bartley Road East viaducts; the first bus service to do so. The route also complements existing bus services for the heavily-utilized sector between Tampines Central and Temasek Polytechnic, such as Services 8, 15, 23 and 69. Red and white plates are used to help commuters boarding from Whampoa Road, Jalan Bahagia and Jalan Tenteram, as buses in both directions (towards Saint Michael’s and towards Tampines Concourse) call at the same bus stops. Apart from the destination display of the bus before boarding, commuters can check the service plate colour displayed on the windscreen. Red Plate buses head towards Tampines Concourse while White Plate buses head towards Saint Michael’s.
